Welcome to Auris
Auris listens to the sounds around you and alerts you to the ones you might miss β doorbells, phones, smoke alarms, a crying baby, someone calling your name.
It runs entirely in your browser. Audio never leaves your device.
Built for deaf and hard-of-hearing users β and anyone who works with noise-cancelling headphones on.

The status badge at the top turns green when listening.

How alerts work
Auris sorts sounds into three priority tiers:
- CRITICAL Smoke alarm, siren, glass breaking β full-screen red overlay + vibration. Impossible to miss.
- HIGH Doorbell, phone, baby crying, alarm clock β prominent toast + short vibration.
- NORMAL Knocking, dog barking β quiet toast.
Critical sounds use a low confidence threshold β better to false-alarm than miss a smoke alarm.
β
Teach it your sounds
Generic doorbells don't sound like yours. Record your own doorbell or your name in 5 seconds, and Auris learns to recognize your specific sound.
π
Only a 1024-number embedding vector is stored β never the audio itself.
Find the "Your own sounds" section after you start listening.
